Customers may review BCU Limited's privacy practices on the BCU Limited website.

6. Payment Service Providers

SPBE and its authorized online ticket sales agent may use third-party payment service providers to securely process customer payments.

Payment providers may collect and process payment information according to their own legal, regulatory, and privacy obligations.

SPBE may receive limited transaction information including payment status, transaction reference, payment method type, and information necessary to support refunds, reconciliation, or payment disputes.

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with BCU Limited as our authorized online ticket sales agent, payment service providers, affiliated companies, transportation and land-transfer service providers, technology and hosting providers, email and communications providers, fraud prevention and security providers, professional advisers, auditors, insurers, the Belize Port Authority, government agencies, immigration or border authorities, law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, and other parties where required or permitted by applicable law.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect passengers, employees, SPBE, or others from fraud, security threats, or unlawful activity.

8. International Data Processing

Certain online ticket purchases and related services may involve service providers or authorized business partners located outside Belize.

For example, BCU Limited is registered in Hong Kong and acts as an authorized online ticket sales agent for certain SPBE ticket purchases.

Personal information may therefore be processed in Belize, Hong Kong, or other jurisdictions where authorized service providers operate.

SPBE takes reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is shared only where necessary for legitimate service, operational, business, or legal purposes.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purpose for which it is held.

When information is no longer reasonably required, SPBE may securely delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of the information in accordance with applicable requirements and our data-retention practices.
